Open app.doetoch.com or the app and choose Don't have an account? Create one. Fill in your name, email address and a password and choose Create account.

You then get an email to confirm your address. If it doesn't arrive, choose Resend confirmation email.

Sign in with the same email address and password; your list comes in by itself. If two-step verification is on, DoeToch also asks for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

On the web, click + (Add project) next to My projects in the sidebar and give the project a name and a colour.

On iPhone and iPad you can do it from quick add: type #Name and choose Create project “Name”.

Dates such as tomorrow, friday, next week or 30 sep, and times such as at 9, 14:00 or 2pm. Repeats that start with every or each, such as every monday.

Also p1 to p4 for the priority, #project, /section, @label and a deadline between braces, such as {30 sep}. What it recognised shows as a chip you can still remove.

Type p1 to p4 or a deadline between braces in quick add, or use the Deadline and Priority buttons. For an existing task you find them in the task properties.

On iPhone, iPad and Android: choose Share in another app, then DoeToch. You choose whether it becomes a new task or a comment on a task you look up. The web app cannot do this.

Type it in quick add, such as every monday or every day at 8:00 and 20:00. Or open the date picker, choose Repeat and one of the options, or Custom… for more.

Custom repeat has a switch Catch up on missed times. When it is off (the default), DoeToch skips missed times and the task continues from today. When it is on, every missed time stays.

You can always skip a single time with Skip this occurrence.

On the web: open Settings › Reminders and look under Reminders not working?. It shows whether your browser may send notifications and whether this device is registered, and you can send a test reminder.

In the apps, the notification settings show whether DoeToch may send notifications, with a button to your phone's settings and a test reminder.

Touch and hold your Home Screen and add a DoeToch widget. On iPhone and iPad there are Tasks, Daily goal and Quick add, and on the Lock Screen also Next tasks. On Android there are DoeToch tasks, DoeToch daily goal and DoeToch quick add.

For the tasks widget you choose which list it shows.

Say “Add a task to DoeToch”, or use the actions in Shortcuts, such as Add task, Complete task and Open Today. For the Action button and Control Center there are Add task and Today.

Edit your Quick Settings on Android and add the Add task tile; it opens quick add. Touch and hold the app icon for shortcuts to Add task, Today, Inbox and Search.

What you do is saved on your device first and then sent to the server. Without a connection you just keep working; the sync status shows how many changes are waiting locally. As soon as you're online, DoeToch syncs by itself.

Sync yourself: on the web through Sync in the account menu or by clicking the sync status, in the apps by pulling the list down.

If you changed the same field on another device in the meantime, that other change stays and DoeToch tells you the task was changed elsewhere.

Open app.doetoch.com and choose the option in your browser menu to install the app or add it to your Home Screen. DoeToch then opens in its own window and works offline too.

On the sign-in screen choose Forgot your password?, fill in your email address and choose Send reset link. The link in the email lets you choose a new password.

Turn it on on the web, in Settings › Account › Two-step verification. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app and create recovery codes in case you lose your phone. After that DoeToch asks for the code when you sign in, in the apps too.

Export on the web in Settings › Backups; you get a JSON file with all your data.

Delete your account in Settings › Account › Delete account, on the web or in the app. Within 7 days you can still cancel by signing in.
